How to steam milk

  1. Pour fresh chilled milk into your steaming jug, and keep your milk under halfway full.

  2. To clean thoroughly, purge your steam arm by turning it on for a few seconds.

  3. Place your jug under the steam arm with the nozzle just below the surface.

  4. Turn the steam on and slowly lower your milk jug as the milk rises.

  5. A good rule of thumb is 3 seconds for latte milk and 5 seconds for cappuccino milk.

  6. When you have the desired foam, raise the jug slightly and feel the temperature.

  7. Once the jug is hot to touch, turn off the steam and take it away.

  8. Always wipe your steam wand clean with a damp cloth immediately after use.

  9. Once wiped clean, purge the steam wand again.

  10. Enjoy!
